Privacy Policy — Crewtique

Crewtique ("we," "us") operates a private network for flight attendants, available on iOS, Android, and the web (collectively, the "Services"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. By using the Services you agree to the practices described here.

Our guiding principle: we keep as little as possible. The information we do hold is encrypted and retained only for as long as it is necessary for the purpose it was collected — most often, verifying that you are crew and keeping your account secure.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information you provide to register

Crewtique is closed to the public. You join in one of two ways:

Work email verification. You submit a work email issued by an airline or aviation employer. We use it only to confirm eligibility and send a verification code.
Invite by an existing member. A verified member invites you, and we record that an invitation was redeemed.

Your email is one-way encrypted (hashed) the moment it is received so that it cannot be read back or tied to your activity. We store only what is necessary for registration and re-verification. Verification data for accounts that are never completed is deleted within 72 hours.

1.2 Account information

A display name (which need not be your real name), a password (stored only as a salted hash), and basic account settings.

1.3 Content you create

Forum posts, replies, group-chat messages, and any images you upload. This content is associated with your anonymous account, never with your name, airline, or email.

1.4 Information collected as you use the Services

Limited technical and usage data needed to operate the app reliably — device type, app version, and diagnostic logs. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not sell your data.

2. How We Store and Protect Information

Identifying information — your email above all — is encrypted at the point of collection and stored separately from your activity, so that posts and messages cannot be traced back to your identity. We apply commercially reasonable safeguards in transit and at rest. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential.

Data is stored and processed on infrastructure located in the United States.

3. How We Use Information

To verify that you are eligible crew and to create your account.
To operate, maintain, and secure the Services.
To deliver forum content, group chats, and real-time notifications.
To diagnose technical problems and prevent abuse.
To comply with legal obligations.

We retain each category of information only as long as necessary for these purposes. When you delete your account from within the app, associated personal information is deleted.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

Service providers who help us run the Services (for example, cloud hosting and email-delivery vendors), bound by confidentiality obligations and limited to what they need.
Legal requests — when required by law, subpoena, or to protect the safety of our users. Because identifying data is one-way encrypted, the information we can produce is inherently limited.
Business transfers — if Crewtique is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

5. Children

The Services are intended for working aviation professionals and are not directed to anyone under the age of majority. We do not knowingly collect their information and will delete it if discovered.

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise these rights — including deleting your account — from within the app, or by contacting us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where applicable.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version with a new "Last updated" date, and material changes will be communicated in the app.
